Hairbands to keep your hair out of your face. warm socks - feet can get cold during labour! I suffered lol. list of important phone numbers - family, friends, older children's carers/school. | My husband just packed HIS bag. Our birthing center doesn't do much for the dads, so he packed a backpack with change of clothes, munchies, some toiletries and he'll be carrying the stuff like the camera, extra batteries, list of people to call, phone charger, etc.. I guess since we've already been through birth twice he feels like he can fret over himself a bit more... I haven't even packed MY bag yet... men.

| MY Goodness!!! You all get out of the hospital the same day you had your babies??? I had to pack like I was going on vacation. I had like 4 bags.
Here in the US we get to stay at least 2 days. I had to stay 3 days this last time b/c I had a C-section. The Hospital I chose had a room where the dads and siblings could go and get stuff to eat.
Like they had loaves of bread and peanut butter and Jelly and sodas. Plus whenever I ordered a meal whoever was with me got a meal free too.

| Everything at the appointment looked good... I'm at a 1, 50% effaced and she's head down at a -3 station. He's pretty sure I won't be delivering any time soon, which I figured since my other 2 were late. I was at a loose 3 for the whole week before Charla was induced, so I didn't get too jumpy when I heard I'm a little dilated. Next Tuesday I'll find out if I'm Group B positive. I hope not... one less IV to worry about. Now all I have to do is somehow make the next 4 weeks go by a little faster. I have to say, it's easier now than when I had no children or just one. Never a dull moment. Thanx everyone! | |

| 9 days to go! YAY! August 16th can't get here fast enough! TONS of Braxton Hicks contractions, classic trouble sleeping, tummy's so squished I can't eat much before feeling over-full, just flat-out tired ... At my appointment yesterday the doc said I'm 3 cm dilated, about 50% effaced and at a -3 still. He's offered to enduce me next week, but we're attempting to go naturally (no epidural! ). Pitocin enduced contractions are so much fiercer than natural ones, so we're just gonna wait things out. I just hope she comes on or before her due date since my hubby starts courses at the University 4 days after I'm due. Anyways, there's my update. | |
