I breastfeed and regularly attend a breastfeeding group.

From what i know the best way to increase your supply is to switch nurse - basically take to bed for 24hours and feed from one side till your let down and then immediately swap to the other side and so on. Let your baby feed as much as he/she wants. This is tiring but it definitely increases your supply.

I was the same so don't worry, and don't feel like you have to give up and go onto formula. When I fed Kerrie at the same time I used the pump on the other one, then swapped. It took a couple of feeds to fill a bottle so I just kept it by my bedside where I breastfed. Not sure ur ment to keep it out but it wasn't out for long and Kerrie was never ill. She's only just had her first cold at 15 months! Sometimes I just froze the little amounts in pots then when defrosting I just used a couple of pots to make up one feed. I did find it frustrating and sometimes messy, I introduced formula at 4 months as I was moving house. This time round I am going to breastfeed but not sure if I will use the pump as much as I did before...I also feel it made my boobs go saggy as I was constantly feeding or pumping!!

It is probably harder if you're constantly out and about. I think maybe I was drying up which is why I wasn't getting as much out than the beginning? Did you have milk squirting out everywhere (TMI) I just found I was constantly getting soaked!!

Hope I helped??
